Well I believe the new website for my Uncle Larry is now finished. We had some struggles along the way and it ended up being a collaboration between Uncle Larry, Tom, Justin and myself to get it all set in place. Things look good now and everything appears to be working.

I have always liked the Netscape browser unfortunately it has come to an end. The Great news though is that you can make Firefox look just like it - I prefer the older traditional look - the Foxscape theme for Firefox was just what I needed. Now I can browse comfortably again.

Just installed the new Ubuntu Alpha 8.04 Hardy Heron Desktop Edition. So far it's working great. I was a little afraid to do the actual install since it was in Alpha testing but I went for it anyways and so far no real problems at all. A couple minor glitches - had to restart the pc 1 time - had strange bar appear at the bottom of my screen and I was typing in a different language - I simply clicked on it and reselected English. Everything else works great. I can even play 3d games.

Day two of weebly. Tonight I wanted to make some minor edits to my pages. This was a breeze, I am still very impressed by this tool. The response so far about the look of my new website has been positive. Do I worry about weebly as a web designer? No. Not everyone that wants a website will want to do the work it takes to create one, even if it is very easy. Some people will also need or want designs that are not included in the designs tab.

After just building my entire website (or rebuilding you might call it) on Weebly I have to say that this is the BEST website editor I have ever used. I have made pages on Tripod, coded from scratch, used Frontpage, Dreamweaver, NVU, Kompozer, and many others. Nothing comes close to this. Very nice themes/designs to begin with followed by simple drag and drop functions for easy placement of whatever you need. Wow!

Welcome to the Anixas Blog where I will discuss computer topics of all kinds and maybe some other thoughts as well. At the moment I use PC's running Windows XP and various flavors of Linux. My Goal is to earn enough extra funds to purchase a the Macbook Air and then I will be able to discuss Mac's as well.
